This place is amazing. We moved back to NC from SF and I was bummed because SF had amazing sushi but I’ve got to say this place is right up there. The service and atmosphere are perfect for family’s and the food is fantastic. I’ll definitely be back. If you want good sushi this is a must in the area.
Mayte was our server and she was really patient and helpful towards me and my brother. We shared the squid which was my first time having it wasn’t bad at all quite delicious and the hamachi was absolutely delicious. Another appetizer we shared was the fried tofu and the mushrooms on top was an amazing touch to the taste buds. We got 4 rolls : Unagi Dragon , Spicy Tuna Dynamite, Ultimate Rainbow and the Dragon Tuna. All of them were very delicious our favorite was probably the Spicy Tuna Dragon. The atmosphere was nice my brother and I had a wonderful time siping the chilled sake and it made it even more fun to pick out our cups. City Market Sushi is a Gem , thank you.
So good. Super high quality sashimi (we got the salmon), great appetizers, delicious hot sake, and rolls were fantastic. Left feeling full and satisfied without spending a ton!
Awesome sushi place in downtown Raleigh! We started with the garlic edamame and the truffle salmon. The edamame had a lot of flavor and has a charbroiled taste which was a nice touch. The truffle salmon was so fresh and the soy mustard was such a nice combo. We got the ultimate rainbow, bang bang shrimp, spicy tuna dynamite, and the salmon roll. The ultimate rainbow was my favorite and was bursting with flavor. My husband enjoyed the spicy tuna dynamite which had a smoky taste. All of the rolls were great and tasted so fresh. We are very picky sushi people so I’m not exaggerating when I say this place is the real deal. The atmosphere is modern and the service was attentive and quick. We would definitely eat here again.
Some of the best sushi I've had since moving to Raleigh. Some pretty unique rolls, not your typical sushi. Everything was good and the fish was really high quality. Bit on the pricey side but well worth it.
Our food was delicious and the service was great! We didn’t have a reservation but were able to get seats at the bar. We enjoyed a bottle of sake and several rolls. If we had more room we would have sampled them all! The quality and thought that went into the rolls was clear. Great ambiance and made for a wonderful night out
Probably the best upscale sushi menu in the triangle. Quality of fish is top notch. Service is incredible and food delivery is pretty darn quick. This style allows customers to order one or two things at a time. The restaurant itself is a little cramped and uncomfortable in space and chairs.
